Foxy Foxtrot Double Early Tulip

Foxy Foxtrot Double Early Tulip

12-16" tall x 3" wide. Foxy Foxtrot Double Early Tulip is an early spring knockout. The peony-like, gently ruffled flower petals in shades of yellow, rosy-peach and orange, with green-tipped petals and green stamens visible as the flower opens. It's an excellent choice for mixing into a spring flower display, or plant them as a focal point where they can shine together. Excellent cut flowers too, so plant plenty! Cut when the flowers are still in bud and the outer leaves show color for longest vase life. Tulips are easy to grow, requiring compost-enriched well-draining soil in a sunny location. Plant in a sheltered spot to protect blossoms from extreme weather. Plant them 6-8" deep and lightly treat with organic fertilizer to get roots off to a good start. Water well and then only as needed during dry spells. If bulb-eating-pests are a problem, try planting with holly leaves or use a bulb cage for long-term protection.
