Gudoshnik Double Late Tulip
18-20" tall x 6" wide. Gudoshnik Double Late Tulip greets the late spring garden with large 4" peony-like blossoms in warm shades of red, apricot, and yellow. No two blossoms are alike, yet all harmonize into a stunning display. Lovely as cut flowers, harvest them when still in bud with some color showing. Plant bulbs when you receive them in freely draining soil where they will get full sun. Gudoshnik's flowers are heavy, so plant them a bit closer together (1-2" apart) and in a protected location where blossoms will be protected from extreme weather. Good in containers too. Plant at least 6-8" deep and set the bulb with pointy end up. Add some organic fertilizer and water well to start root growth, then only as needed during fall dry spells. The following year's blossoms will likely be smaller, so many gardeners treat these tulips as annuals and replant each fall.
